A LITTLE ABOUT ME~ UN POQUITO DE LA SRA. SKELLY
Nací en Santiago, Chile y llegué a EEUU a los 7 años de edad. ¡No sabía hablar nada de inglés! Estudié en California State University, Long Beach dónde recibí mi licenciatura. Junta con la Señora Kathy Morales, empezé el Programa de Dos Idiomas en 1993 (¡guau!) Tengo dos hijos quienes asistieron Las Palmas y estuvieron en el Programa de Dos Idiomas. Me gusta mucho leer, soy fanática de mis hijos cuando juegan deportes. Me encanta el aire libre. Me interesa mucho cuidar a nuestro medioambiente. Estoy loca para correr y hacer ejercisios y pienso que ser maestra en Las Palmas es ¡lo máximo!
I was born in Santiago, Chile and I came to the USA at the age of 7. I didn't speak a word of English! I studied for my degrees at California State University, Long Beach. Together with Mrs. Kathy Morales, I pioneered the Two Way Language Immersion Program in 1993 (yikes!) I have two sons who both attended the Las Palmas Immersion Program. I enjoy reading and the outdoors. I am my kids #1 fan- especially when they are playing sports. I am passionate about the environment, running, and exercise and I absolutely LOVE teaching at Las Palmas!
